September 2013 Visiting Teaching

I loved the message this month. There was a lot of things that I personally felt applied to me.

3. I have the Artisan bread in 5 minutes a day book. The recipe is shared for free on their site and if you go here you can print the recipe on 8.5x11, 4x6 or 3x5's I printed them out as 4x6's on card stock.
4. Mirror, mirror am I a sloth? Click here for the scripture printout and here for the mirror handout.

Instructions for the Mirror scripture handout.

Print the scripture out on nice paper cut every 3 inches. Print our mirror handout on card stock, cut out. Tape/glue back to back one sloth one plain. Paperclip the mirror to the top of the scripture print. Tada.

The self reliance printable was super inspired check out Mish Mash Mom's monthly visiting teaching idea here. Amazing isn't she.

League of Legends Party Printables

Surprised? Well I love League of Legends and the North American LCS Summer Playoffs are running right now. I am having a few - okay, okay only one friend over. Party? YES! I know now why people like sports, it took LOL to bring this super crazy fan out of me. Yell and scream with me print the free printables out and root for your favorite team.

Who am I rooting for? Well I suppose you will figure it out.

Suprise Message August 2013 Visiting Teaching

I didn't think I would make a printable this month. I realize though as I am preparing to visit my sisters this week (the last in the month haha) I might as well post what I am using. Perhaps if you procrastinate like me you will feel happy to know now you can teach with less stress. I will be posting monthly visiting teaching message printables that will be FREE for your personal use to visit your own sisters.

This is an XL candy bar wrap, click here to download.

How to assemble and what you need

or

1.  Print out message and XL Candy Bar wrap then cut them out.

  2. Place official message on back of candy bar wrap.

 3. Center message on candy bar (you can adjust after)

4. Tape it!

 5. Done.

August FREE printables

I have noticed that the number of sites that offer free printable visiting teaching ideas has dramatically dropped off since the first of the year. I am back. I will post September 2013's visiting teaching printable by September first.

"shark infested waters" game

Play a game, to learn more about each other. Directions included.
You'll need a snack bag, or you can use a sandwich bag.

How to

1. Cut out all pieces. 2. Place in snack size bag.

3. Slip "game bag label" side over baggie flap and one on outside of baggie then staple.
Stapling this way you can use and reuse the bag to hold your pieces in and it will stay labeled.

Game Play

1. Place life reserve down. 2. Take turns placing shark cards down,
sharing as you do a trial. [personal or example]

 

3. After all shark cards are placed, take turns placing calimg water cards.
Read the words on what we can do to "calm" others trials. Give and example

I'm busy as you all are. I have an idea for the kids/ladies for a snack. One is lifesavers. One is cupcakes or cookies that look like life preservers. Simple fast things. I will have more time to develop this idea but not until next week. I have a birthday party and activity days that I have to do. Also I will start posting my ideas on activity days.

"love without judging" girl paper dolls chain

love them without judging them, watch over and strengthen their faith 1 by 1,
establish sincere friendships, visit them in their homes and elsewhere.
There is a few tricks with this one. The directions help, but the bottom of the house 
needs the line cut up to the bottom of the dolls dress. 

"remember" heart chain

remember - names of their family members, birthdays, graduations, weddings, baptisms and more.

        

"reach out" hand chain

reach out - to new and less active members, to the lonely or those in need of comfort. 

 

"heart and/or car" kids snacks paper chain 

Many of the sisters over the years that I teach have had or have children. I myself often have to take one or more of my kids. So I bring them something that helps occupy their time and also ties into the lesson.
